Professor Prajapati Trivedi, Senior fellow (Governance) and Adjunct Professor, Bharti Institute of Public Policy and Former Secretary, Performance Management, Government of India and Professor Rajesh Chakrabarty, Former Executive Director, Bharti Institute of Public Policy were the distinguished speakers at the first ever Policy Boot-Camp organized by Vision India Foundation (VIF) in association with the Bharti Institute of Public Policy, ISB (knowledge partners). It was a 21 day immersive residential program in Delhi from 21st June, 2015 to 11th July, 2015.
At the Policy Boot-Camp, 150 bright young minds came together on a single platform for 21 days, to learn from distinguished public leaders, academicians, bureaucrats, and grassroots workers. These motivated youngsters were selected from some of the premier institutes across India and the world, like IITs, IIMs, Yale, University of Manchester, DSE, BITS, NLU and Delhi University to name a few.
We see these 150 young minds, as potential change agents who will actively drive responsible reforms in India. One of the critical aspects of the Policy Boot-Camp, is to facilitate the career building of the youth, along the lines of nation building. This was successfully achieved by engaging the delegates with MPs, State Governments, Think Tanks and Grassroots Organizations. The Policy Boot-Camp provided avenues to discuss and work on relevant issues, through focused group discussions, field visits, workshops, ideation sessions and lectures
